So, we didn't go to the Wisconsin Apple Fest. It was very windy (30+mph) and rain off and on. Besides which, I think I'm coming down with something; little sore throat, congestion, achy.
That's the negative.
While sitting, watching TV, BH says, "ya know, we should tell the kids we're going away more often; no phone ringing off the hook today".
It was peaceful and quiet. We had TV dinners for supper and watched "Gone With the Wind" in its entirety. Straight through......no phone interruptions.
And that's the positive.

We skipped the Apple Festival as well, but we did go to the Cranberry Festival in Stone Lake! It was gorgeous! (We have a cabin on Whitefish.)
